On Aug 16, the last Sunday of the month of Aadi, more than 50 devotees, including women and children, got together at Sri Nagathamman Temple at Mundakanni Amman Koil Street, Mylapore to participate in the fire walking ceremony.
While some walked with their children, others were seen walking across the fire with piercings on their tongue and cheeks and decorated pots on their heads. Here are a few pictures taken by our photographer Madhan Kumar.
