This year, priests at the San Thome Cathedral have scheduled the midnight Christmas Holy Mass at two venues – the Thamizh Mass will be held at the Cathedral while the English Mass will be held at St Bede’s School auditorium simultaneously.
This will allow the large congregation of people to attend the Masses in a quiet atmosphere – in the past the English Mass would be held at about 9.30 p.m. and the Thamizh Mass would follow – in the campus of the church and this caused traffic flow and seating problems.
The Christmas eve services begin will carol singing by the church choirs at about 11 p.m. and the Mass follows.
