Guru Umayalpuram. K. Sivaraman will receive the ‘Gotuvadyam Narayana Iyengar Award for Excellence’ at an event to be held today (Jan 19) at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore. Third generation musical instrument manufacturer G. Venkatesan will also be honoured.
