Sundari Ammal, passed away on Feb 23. She was born in Mayiladuthurai and got married to T.V Rangaswami, a cotton specialist from Coimbatore. She was widowed at a young age. Moving to Chennai along with her young sons, she adopted Chennai as her home in 1963. Initially she spent her time in Mylapore and around 1981, she moved to Jethnagar.
