On Sunday, May 29, a small function organised by Lions Club of Padi, Shenoy Nagar was held at Alumni Club – Anna University at Boat Club Road, R. A. Puram. An electric three wheeled scooter was handed over to Marimaran – a disabled vendor by Hemalatha. A, the CEO of Ampere Vehicles Pvt Ltd., Coimbatore.
Out of the heavily subsidized cost of Rs. 65000, Infosys Foundation provided Rs. 50000 and the rest was sponsored by S. S. Sankaran. The process was coordinated by S. Krishnasamy, hony. adviser to Ability Foundation.
