On Monday, Sep 26, Mylapore MLA R. Nataraj inaugurated the 126th birth anniversary celebrations of guru Papanasam Sivan at an event organised by the Papanasam Sivan Rasikar Sangam in association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
The MLA conferred the title of ‘Sivanisai Selvar’ on vocalist P. Unni Krishnan. A dance performance by the students of Sheela Unnikrishnan followed. The celebration will continue till Oct 1 at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet. For details call 9444019747.
