All India Radio has organised a music competition to discover and encourage new talents among young artistes. The competition will be open to those between 16 and 24 years of age as on June 30 2017. It will cover various genres of music such as Carnatic vocal and instrumental, devotional, light, folk, Hindustani and choral (Vrindagaan).
The applicant should not be a performing artiste of AIR, or approved by any of the music audition committees of AIR, till date of the competition in the category appeared.
Candidates interested in participating in this competition can collect the necessary application forms free of cost from the nearest All India Radio Station, during working days between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m, starting from May 8.
An entry fee of Rs. 500 by the way of demand draft, drawn in favour of ‘The Station Director’ has to be enclosed along with the application. The last date of receipt of duly filled application forms is June 9. For more details visit airchennai.org and facebook.com/airchennai.
