Sivaraman Street residents have an informal chat with police officials

July 16. It was a pleasant Sunday evening. The members of the recently formed Sivaraman Street Residents Welfare Association, Mandaveli had gathered for an informal meeting with E4 police station officials – assistant commissioner of police, N. Sudharshan and inspector Raja.

The officers who stayed for more than two hours talked about how seniors and women can transform themselves from being soft targets to proactive citizens.

Homemakers were asked to be careful of criminals who pretend to be salespersons and were asked to check and rectify old windows and damaged doors and locks.

The event ended with the assurance of more interactive sessions in the near future.
