If you were driving past the Vivek store in Luz last night you may have noticed the stream of shoppers heading inside the store well past 9 p.m. and wondered what they were doing here at this hour when shops close for the day you would have had to take a second close look for the reason.
Well, Vivek kept the store open from 9 p.m. to midnight to push what it called a sale of goods at pre-GST regime prices. And it drew in many shoppers.
Though the lights on its complex were dimmed, inside the store, all the floors were packed with people taking in the prices of goods from fridges and TV sets to cellphones and kitchen appliances.
Some made smart buys while others did some window shopping.
