The 
day after Vinayaka Chathurthi, these clay idols were spotted on the railing outside the MRTS station in Mandaveli. Some of them with broken faces, others that are in good condition. ‘Sometimes, instead of throwing them into the canal which is infested with garbage, people leave them out in the open, to melt away in the rain’, remarked a passerby, who was walking on the Canal Bank Road.
