Controversy surrounds the opening of the memorial of actor Sivaji Ganesan in R. A. Puram on October 1, which is also the late actor’s birth anniversary.
Sivaji’s family has written to a state minister saying they are unhappy that the state chief minister is not going to take part in this event. A media release had said that only the information minister would do the honors.
The family has requested the CM to attend the function.
The memorial, close to the Adyar bridge its western side was ready some weeks ago but it is not known what visitors will get to see at this memorial.
