Repairing your musical instruments this season…

If you would like to tune or repair your instruments this season, drop into Carnatic Musicals at Mathala Narayanan Street, Mylapore (seen in the picture).

K. Ramesh is the owner. His family has been in this business for three generations. He says, “We sell and repair all string instruments like the violin, shrutibox, harmonium, sitar, tambura and veena and western instruments like the guitar. We do not repair electronic equipment”.

His tips on maintenance – “Veena should be kept away from direct sunlight. An unused harmonium attracts insects, playing on it for atleast half an hour everyday is essential to keep it pest free”. Contact him at 4/11, Mathala Narayanan Street, Mylapore. Ph: 9841862824.
