On Sunday, Dec 31 night, about ten members of the Senior Citizens group of Besant Nagar and Mylapore distributed more than 25 new blankets to the homeless at Luz and near the Marina Beach.
The group, which is almost a decade old, recently opened its Mylapore chapter. They do not accept monetary donations, only donations in kind are accepted. For details contact 9884224480.
