The deities from several temples were seen at Marina Beach today morning (March 1) to mark Masi Magam. Thousands were seen taking a dip in the waters there. It is believed that taking a bath in water bodies on this day will help one attain moksha.
In our neighbourhood, more than 1500 devotees were part of the procession at Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore. Later a theerthavari was held at the beach.
