Carnatic music scholar, guru and artiste late Dr T. K. Govinda Rao was remembered at a function held on the weekend at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz.
Dr Premeela Gurumurthy, vice chancellor, Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University was the chief guest – she released a monograph on Dr Govinda Rao. Tributes were paid to Rao.
Later, the Bombay Sisters, who were senior disciples of Rao presented a vocal concert.
