This sounds strange but is true.
Foreshore Estate police say that a Mandavelipakkam woman ‘stole’ the jewels of her mother-in-law to settle old scores but now that the culprit has been exposed nobody is yet talking about what will happen next.
The man of the house, well-placed reported the theft to the local police after a large amount of jewellery was missing from his mother’s chest; the woman lived on the same premises.
It did not take the police long to locate the culprit. The embarrassing moment has given way to further investigation to locate the jewels.
