A Mylaporean has registered a case at the Mylapore police station that an unknown person robbed him of his cellphone when he was using it on the street.
The victim said that he had gone out to shop and the crime took place then, on Thursday.
Thieves have been targeting people with smartphones, often when they are using them to speak to someone, and doing so in the public spaces. Much like gold chain snatchers, the criminals target phones and sell them off in a jiffy.
