The first steady rainfall at summertime came down this afternoon after about 3 p.m. and Mylapore had a fare share of it.
The rain caught many school-goers in the middle – with parents and guardians taking the juniors home scurrying for shelter. Luz Circle roads were washed of dust and dirt and reflected the grey light. And traffic minimum here.
Inner Mylapore streets remained unaffected but in areas where the drains have not been cleared fully, water began to stagnate.
