A new auditorium was opened on Wednesday evening at the Madras Sanskrit College in Mylpore by the state governor Banwarilal Purohit.
The thundershowers and steady rain did not dampen the spirits of the hosts and their guests as the function got underway on July 11 evening.
It was a simple one. The event marked the occasion of the centenary year of Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha maha sannidhanam.
A book on ‘ Vidyatheertham’ was also released.
S. Narayan, the donor of thsi project was present as was N. Gopalaswami, president of the Sri V. Krishnaswamy Iyer Sanskrit Education Trust and its secretary, V. Srikanth.
