Several thematic concerts, under endowments by patrons and well wishers, have been organised by Music Academy this week. The schedule is as follows:
July 2 – A concert by Thiruvarur S. Gireesh in memory of T. Brinda
July 3 – Compositions of Purandaradasar by Nandini Rao
July 4 – Namasankirtanam by Srivanchiyam Muralidharan and group
July 6 – A special archival programme on the ‘Harikatha of Embar Vijayaraghavachariar’ by Dr. Premeela Gurumurthy, vice chancellor, Tamilnadu Music and Fine Arts University.
