SKS Cultural Academy, the Chennai chapter of Sainadha Kala Samithi (an institute registered
in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh for Indian classical dance) commenced its Kuchipudi
dance classes on October 19 at Abiramapuram.
Guru Dr. Arun Saikumar started this institute in 1990 at Visakhapatnam. Till
date he has trained over 3500 students in the Kuchipudi. The
institute has 8 branches in Visakhapatnam, a branch at Warangal, Chennai, Pune and one in
Vietnam.
Soundarya Vaishnovi, a senior student of the guru, a banker turned dance teacher is handling the classes at Abiramapuram.
The classes will be held at: C-2, Mahalakshmi Apartments, New No.1, Sunderarajan Street, off Abiramapuram 4th Street.
