At this apartments complex, Navarathri was a community affair

The residents of Ragamalika Apartments on Thiruvengadam Street, Mandaveli celebrated Navarathri with a community-driven spirit.

A big kolu was arranged in the common hall with dolls provided by residents.

Daily rendering of Vishnu Sahasranaman and Lalitha Sahasranamam, sumptuous prasadams, followed by cultural activities  featured each day’s programme.

Children performed a variety cultural programmes every day, depicting the sanctity of Navarathri, in the form of a human kolu, modern-day Dasavatharam, kolattam, Bharathanatyam and Carnatic music based bhajans.

A discourse on “Sundarakandam Saaram” by Damal Ramakrishan was also held.

“Suhasini Pooja” was held for the elders and the celebrations ended with  Kanniya Pooja performed on the Navadurgas.

The entire event was hosted and managed by Residents which saw participation of over 100 families.
