Late flute maestro N. Ramani will be celebrated on his 85th birth anniversary with a daylong music event on Oct.31 at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz.
From 9.30a.m. onwards, there will be concerts featuring students of Ramani’s Academy of Flute (RAF) based in CIT Colony, Mylapore.
In the evening, 6 p.m. mridangam vidwan Umayalpuram Sivaraman will be decorated with the ‘ Ramaneeya mani’ title and a book titled ‘ Ramaneeya Geetham; Tillanas of Dr N Ramani’ is to be released.
Vocalist Madurai G S Mani will perform at a concert after this formal function that evening.
