A senior officer of the HR&CE Department of the state has been questioned by Idol Wing Police in connection with a case which states that a vintage peacock idol in one of the sannithis of Sri Kapali Temple has been replaced and the old idol is missing.
Thirumagal used to be the executive officer at the Mylapore temple when this idol is said to have gone missing.
Industrialist Venu Srinivasan who has also been mentioned in this case and had applied for anticipatory bail has got further relief from the High Court.
