In 1980’s, Chelliah Swamidian ran a florist shop in Foreshore estate on Santhome High Road called Springdale Florist. The business was continued by Chelliah’s son Stanley in 1987 and was renamed as Best Wishes Florist on Santhome High Road. This business legacy is now being carried forward by the third generation. Stanley’s son Lionel, has restarted the floral business in his father’s name as Stanley’s Dynasty in Mandaveli.
“We deal with all types of fresh and artificial flowers”, says Lionel. “We have exotic plants and flowers from Thailand made out of Thai clay. We also deal with exquisite gift articles apart from flower arrangements and décor for weddings and other occassions”. They also do free home delivery.
