Local students perform at Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana festival

On April 18, the audience at Cleveland State University, Ohio , USA were treated to a unique Carnatic music performance. For the first time, in more than four decades of the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival, the carnatic keyboard concert, led by keyboard guru M. S. Martin took centre-stage.

14 students from Martin’s school, Mellifluous Melodies at C. I. T. Colony, Mylapore, and 2 students based at US took part in this concert.

The songs performed included classics like Shobilu, Srivalli Devasenapathe and Nagumomu by Saint Thyagaraja.
