Food, sale and fun games at church’s thanksgiving day: Sept.1

The 177-year-old CSI St. Thomas English Church in San Thome will be celebrating its Annual Thanksgiving Festival (ATF) on Sunday, September 1 from 7.30am to 2.00pm. This annual festival will begin with a special Thanksgiving Service at 7.30 am.

After the worship service, the ATF Sale will be inaugurated by the Presbyter Rev. Paul V Birla. A variety of breakfast items, homemade eatables, cutlets, gourmet cakes, ice creams, cool drinks and biryani will be on sale, to raise funds for the various activities of the church.

Games, quizzes and fun activities like a treasure hunt have also been planned. The students of St. Thomas English Church School and the CSI School for the Deaf will present variety entertainment during the sale.

A decorated photo-booth for clicking pictures, a ‘white elephant’ stall selling pre-used articles and the resolution to avoid the use of plastic are some of the main highlights of this festival.

All are welcome to visit the sale.
