CSI school for the Deaf constructs a college for hearing impaired women at its campus

Soon, a college exclusively for hearing impaired women will come up at the campus of  C.S.I. Higher Secondary School for the Deaf at Santhome High Road, Mylapore.

Now, the construction is on for this college that would have 30 classrooms spread across three floors.

W. James Albert, headmaster says, “Many girls who passed out from our school found it difficult to pursue higher education mainly due to monetary reasons. So in order to help them and others who might be facing a similar problem, we are constructing this college, where only nominal fees would be charged. A hostel facility will also be provided for them,” he says.

James says that the project is being carried out by donation from a few organizations.

“Initially, we would offer undergraduate courses like B.Com and BCA. The college will start functioning from next year ,” he says.
