Sri Hayagreeva Jayanthi will be celebrated at Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, Mylapore on Sep 11 this year. 89 kalasams will be used to perform a thirumanjanam for Sri Hayagreevar in the morning.
A staff at the temple office says, “Tomorrow is the last day of Desikar Shravanam and so a thirumanjanam will be performed for Sri Desikar too. Both Navarathri and Desikar Utsavam will begin on Sep 29. Pavithrotsavam will follow after the Navaratri festival”.
