A large number of teachers who work at schools in Mylapore and have excelled in their vocation were specially feted at a Saturday event held at San Thome School auditorium, San Thome.
State minister of education K.A. Sengottaiyan and state minister of fisheries, D. Jayakumar along with Mylapore MLA, R. Nataraj did the honours.
This Teachers Day event was held for the second consecutive year by the Mylapore MLA in partnership with Lions Club International. Former MP, J. Jayavaradan and other AIADMK seniors were present.
