Montfort Academy, San Thome in association with Ulaga Thamizh Aivu Sangam and Chennai Elakiya Manram conducted speech, essay writing and art competitions in Thamizh for the students of the school on Nov. 27. The theme was ‘Penkalvi matrum paathugapu vizipunairvu sindanai arangam’.
The chief guest was V. Nandakumar, joint commissioner, Income Tax department and Kanimozhi, head of the Manram.
Several students received prizes at this event. Thamizh teachers were felicitated. The principal of the school Rev. Bro. Arockia Sahayaraj was given the Veerama Munivar Award.
