Plus Two exam starts: buzz around one Mylapore exam centre

The State Board Plus Two exams began this morning across the state. Schools in the Mylapore zone which are centres for students to take this exam were all prepared to invite the students and settle them down in their respective seats.

There was a huge crowd outside Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School on Sundareswarar Street which is the centre for students of three schools – Sivaswami Kalalaya in Mandaveli, M. Ct. M. School in Alwarpet and the host school.

School management said some 417 students are registered at this centre for the Plus Two exam, the first to be held after the syllabus was fully revamped. Though a model exam paper was issued the state education department made it clear that this was not to be taken as a ‘model’ and that questions would cover the entire subject in the syllabus.

This school has been an exam centre for many many years.
