No change in daily pooja schedule at Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple

Since the lockdown, devotees have not been allowed to enter temples to pray or to attend important events.

At Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, a temple trustee R. Mugunthan says, “We have been doing whatever needs to be done for the deity on a regular basis. Three priests who stay near the temple have been taking turns to perform the daily poojas at the temple. Though during the first few days of the lockdown in the last week of March we found it a little difficult to get flowers, after that the supply has been regularized”.

He adds, “For Rama Navami on April 2, we performed a thirumanjanam for the utsava murthi of Lord Rama. We did not have the purappadu though”.
