In the last 24 hours, one virus case has been reported at Meenambal Puram in Mylapore.
A woman residing at this slum, located behind Citi Centre mall has tested positive for the virus. She is now admitted to a government hospital for treatment.
Says Chennai Corporation’s Zonal health officer (zone 9), “The virus positive woman was working as a house keeping staff at a hospital in Chennai.”
However, it is not clear how she got infected from the virus.
