Two doctors at Andhra Mahila Sabha suspected to be positive for coronavirus

Two doctors working at Durgabai Deskhmukh Hospital of Andhra Mahila Sabha, R. A. Puram have been suspected of having contracted the coronavirus.

They have been taken to the government hospital for further investigation.

A doctor at Andhra Mahila Sabha who wishes to stay anonymous told Mylapore Times on April 23, “The nurses, staff and other people who came into contact with them have been tested and results are awaited. The area has been cordoned off and no one is allowed inside the campus. The entire facility is being fumigated by GCC authorities and cleaning of floors, doors and other areas with Lyzol and other disinfectants is being carried out now”.

Local roads and streets have been barricaded. Kamaraj Salai is partly so since it ends at Greenways Road where the CM and others reside.

The road that goes past the hospital and MGR Janaki College is open to traffic.
