Mylapore traffic police have started imposing Rs 500 fine on motorists who move out without wearing masks.
Says Rajkumar, Traffic Police Inspector attached to Mylapore Police station, Kutchery Road, “Till a few weeks ago, motorists without masks were warned and let off. But now, to prevent the virus spread, we have started imposing Rs.500 fine on them. ”
In the past few days, we have fined over 50 motorists, he says.
