Jean Lazarus of Periyapalli Street in R. A. Puram passed away on May 18 and the funeral took place at the Our Lady of Guidance Church and the burial at Chennai Corporation cemetery on St. Mary’s Road.
Ill for some days, his condition worsened and he passed away at GH, Chennai.
Born December 24, 1959, Jean had retired from Tech Mahindra, Sholinganallur and spent his retired years at home and in the community.
After collegiate studies at Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Jean moved to Singapore for employment in the shipping sector.
Back in Chennai in 1993, he tapped into his skills as an artist, learnt animation and graphics and joined Tech Mahindra. He retired in 2016.
Jean’ mother worked at the Bon Secours Convent. His wife Mary Goretti retired as teacher at St. Francis Xavier’s School, Alwarpet. Son Adrian works as a systems engineer in Chennai and daughter Evan Gertrude has settled in Oman.
