To help the public especially the poor during the intense lockdown period, Amma unavagams in the neighbourhood will provide free food from June 19 to June 30.
On Thursday (June 18), the Tamil Nadu government announced that all Amma canteens in the city would provide free food for 12 days until the intense lockdown ends. The canteens had also provided this service from late April till May 31.
In Mylapore, some of the Amma canteen outlets are at C.P.Ramaswamy Road (next Winner’s bakery), San Thome High Road (near the Registration Office) and Kamarajar Salai (near the Lighthouse).
