For the past couple of days, there have been frequent power fluctuations in the Mandaveli area. TANGEDCO’s area engineer there says it is due to the rain.
He says, “Faults in the area have been tripping due to the rain. We have been receiving a few complaints and we have been rectifying it on a continuous basis”.
He also says that since the March lockdown, maintenance work has taken a hit. “Not many staff have been able to report to work since the lockdown and that has slowed things down a bit. We hope to get back to full strength soon”.
