Seniority, an e-commerce platform that focuses on catering to the needs of senior citizens has recently re-opened its store on TTK Road, Alwarpet.
The store first started here in early March.
However, due to lockdown, it had to close soon after. A few weeks ago, it re-started operations following relaxations in pandemic time regulations.
A range of medical and health care essentials for seniors are now available for sale here.
These include walkers, walking sticks, crutches, and wheelchairs.
One can also buy accessories (portable wheelchair ramps, wheelchair table, automatic pill dispensers) and medical equipments like pulse oximeters, hearing-aid, thermometers and BP monitors from this store.
Besides, it has stoked abdominal belts, cervical collars, and wrist splint from well-known brands like Activeair, Tynor, and Vissco. Fitness essentials for people of all ages are also available at the store.
A unique feature of Seniority is that it offers books, and audio music players, specially curated for seniors. For instance, Carvaan, a retro-looking music player manufactured by Saregama is one of the many music players available for sale here.
Reads a note from Seniority’s website, ‘Carvaan is preloaded with 5000 songs from different languages like Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil. People can also play their own music collection using USB and Bluetooth options in it. Every music player comes with a different set of songs.’
Seniors can also pick up fiction and non-fiction books of their choice from the store. Books on Awakening the Sacred Body by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, Hanuman Chalisa, Bhagavad Gita by Tatvayog, and Laughter Yoga by Dr Madan Kataria, are available in Hindi and English.
All their products can be ordered via its e-commerce website (www.seniority.in.) as well. They also provide door delivery within Chennai except at containment zones.
Wheelchairs are priced from Rs 5890 onwards.
