Sri Velleeswarar Temple will be open for four hours everyday for the next few days

Devotees who visited Sri Velleeswarar Temple at South Mada Street, Mylapore today morning were strictly asked to follow the social distancing norms and wear masks.

The manager at the temple says, “The announcement regarding reopening temples was made on Sunday night but we still haven’t received the government order regarding the rules that need to be followed. So for the next few days, till the order comes, the temple will be open from 7 to 9 a.m. in the morning and from 5 to 7 p.m. in the evening only”

Devotees will have to go through a thermal scan and sanitize their hands before entering the temple. They will have to follow a queue into and out of the temple, markings have been made to ensure social distancing. Archanais and abhishekams will not be done.
