Obit: Retired math teacher S. Vedavalli

Vedavalli S (alias) Veda aged 74, passed away on March 3.

She was a resident of Mylapore for decades and  the daughter of violinist duo Kumbakonam Komalavalli and Srinivasan.

She was a teacher of mathematics and an alumnae of Lady Sivaswami Girls Higher Secondary School, Mylapore.

She was also known to be a devout person – she not only donated for religious causes but also supported people and organisations that needed help, her family said.

She is survived by her sons V Suresh Babu, V. Mahendran, daughters-in–laws and grandchildren.

    It is a very sad news. She was very silent, simple and lived purposeful life.
    She was mathematics teacher and a born Kumbakonian where mathematician great Sri Ramanujam born.

    Let her Athma attain the Lotus feet of Srimen Narayanan.
