This school guides its senior students at interning with corporates

This educational programme is called ‘Spring Board’. And it has just been launched at

Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Higher Secondary School which now functions from the campus of Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School in Mylapore.

This programme is for class XI and XII students – it involves visits to corporates by small teams of students to understand the corporate culture and to shape their career.

Says V. S. Subramanian, secretary, “Many city-based corporates have appreciated the idea and plan to host our students.”
Adds Vathsala Narayaswami, honorary secretary of The National Boys’ & Girls’ Education Society which manages this school, “Such training for students has been offered only at college level but we want our senior school students to start getting exposed to the real world now.”
