Private hospitals as well as GCC-run clinics are now open to people aged 45 years and plus to get the vaccine jab. But this far, on Day One of this development on April 1, there is no big rush of people at the two GCC-run clinics we visited – in Alwarpet and in Mandaveli.
Incidentally, all Amma Clinics are also offering the jab.
Besides new ones in San Thome and R. A. Puram. there is now a new Amma Clinic on Mandaveli Street, in the campus of Amma Unavagam and a school of GCC.
Staff don’t mind giving the jab to people below 45 years too so as to make good use of the supply.
