A senior officer of Chennai Corporation says that it has received now a set of Covaxin vaccines and these will be distributed across zones of the city including Teynampet zone under which Mylapore falls and this will be done depending on needs.
But since the supply is limited, the doses will cater to a limited number now.
The officer said that more supplies of Covaxin are expected.
“We have large stock of Covishield and we ask people who want to take the first jab to take this since it is effective too,” the officer told Mylapore this morning. “Many people have misconceptions of this brand and have been avoiding it. We advise people to get protected quickly.”
