Two recently constructed police stations in the neighbourhood were formally opened on Tuesday. One is the Abiramapuram police station located on Greenways Road near the MRTS station and Mylapore Tahsildar’s office complex.
The other is the Marina police station located off the Light House campus, south of it.
Both were ready for use for some time. The Mylapore Deputy Commissioner of Police did the honours at the inauguration. The Mylapore MLA and station officers were present.
Both are multi-storeyed buildings with offices for all departments of the police.
