The Fire Services are spreading the message of playing it safe while bursting firecrackers this Deepavali festival.
This morning, a team of the Fire Services was at the campus of Savitri Ammal Oriental School in Mylapore and demonstrated ways in which small fires can be put out and got talking about the dos and donts when lighting crackers.
A few students were also invited to show to their classmates how to put out a fire.
