There has been a steady stream of people at the Ambedkar Mani Mantapam in R. A. Puram today, December 6. A day that marks Dr Ambedkar’s death anniversary.
While most people queued up to garland the life-size bust of Ambedkar set inside this grand memorial located off Dr D G Dinakaran Road, others, some obviously new to this campus explored it, stopping to look at the image of lord Buddha that finds a place here.
Outside, on stage, a team of parai percussion artistes performed in the morning. A small team of policemen provided security at the gates.
