Besides asking people not to congregate at the Marina and remaining off the main roads after 11 p.m. tonight, the police have also asked residents not to organise any events in the colonies or in campuses of large apartment blocks.
This comes in the wake of pandemic time regulations imposed specifically for New Year’s eve when people tend to congregate or party closely.
The police have asked people to keep off Dr Radhakrishnan Salai and the Kamaraj Salai ( Marina road) from midnight onwards.
