Camp to process applications for UD ID cards for disabled. On Jan.6 in Mylapore.

If you have a disabled person in your family or around you who does not posses the important UD ID card ( Unique Disability ID) then there are camps being held on January 6 to process applications. One such camp is to be held at Clarke School for the Deaf in Mylapore.

It starts at 9.30 am and winds up after 1 p.m.

You need to carry the disability certificate given by the government, Aadhar Card, two colour passport size photos. The team at the venue will check the documents needed for applying for the UD ID and pass it on to the state agency, and if required, guide other people in getting the required inputs.

Clarke School staff say that many disabled people are not aware of the ID card or of the benefits of possessing it. “It is a card that all disabled people must have,” said one staffer.

In case the disabled person does not possess the relevant documents they can be got at a centre located in K K Nagar. Contact Srinath – 94439 30291
